Every headline on our wire says the same thing in a different way: the world is moving fast in the direction this Book said it would. This Book is the Holy Bible. We never set a date, because no man knows the day nor the hour. But Jesus told us to know the season and to be ready, because He comes suddenly, while life still looks normal:
Noah's ark had one door. His neighbors had years of warning while he built it. Then God Himself shut that door. Jesus told the same story about ten virgins waiting for the bridegroom. Five were ready. Five meant to get ready later.
That is the urgency behind this site. Not panic. A door. Open now, and not open forever. What comes on this earth after the church is gone is a time Jesus called worse than anything before it or after it (Matthew 24:21). We do not tell you that to frighten you. We tell you because a watchman who sees the sword coming and keeps quiet answers to God for it (Ezekiel 33:6). So hear the trumpet, friend. This page is it.
Being ready has nothing to do with being religious, being moral, or being better than your neighbor. The Book's verdict falls on every one of us, and it falls on me as surely as on you:
Wages are what you earn. A gift is what you receive. Keep that difference in mind, because everything below turns on it.
God did not wait for you to clean yourself up. He acted first, at the cost of His own Son:
Jesus lived the life you could not live, died the death your sin earned, and rose bodily from the grave. Salvation is not Christ plus your good works. It is not Christ plus church membership. It is Christ, period. Grace means unmerited favor: favor you did not earn and cannot repay.
"Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation" (2 Corinthians 6:2). Not when you get your life together. Now. Here is what the Book says, in three plain steps:
There is nothing magic in a prayer's words. God reads the heart behind them. But if your heart is ready to settle it, you can tell Him so right now, something like this:
Now, how do you know it took? Not by your feelings. Some people feel joy like a flood the moment they pray. Some feel nothing at all. Feelings rise and fall; the promise of God stands. You know you are saved because He said so, and He cannot lie:
If you prayed that prayer and meant it, the Book says you passed from death to life. Welcome to the family of God. Do four things, starting today: tell somebody, out loud. Get into a church that preaches this Book, the Holy Bible, without apology. Follow the Lord in baptism as your public confession of Him. And open the Book every day, starting with the Gospel of John.
