Every source we link is a mainstream news outlet, a government or institutional primary source, or an established trade publication. Two hard rules govern all sourcing.
AP, Reuters, BBC, Axios, Financial Times (public items), Politico, and comparable outlets.
USGS, NOAA/NWS, WHO, NASA, the Pentagon (defense.gov), congressional hearing feeds, the UN, the Bank for International Settlements, and the IMF.
The persecution of Christians is systematically under-covered by mainstream outlets. Where no mainstream report exists, we link specialist persecution reporting — International Christian Concern, Morning Star News, Open Doors, ACI Africa, Christian Today, Catholic World Report, and comparable ministries. These organizations advocate for the people they cover, and we treat their reporting accordingly: their claims are attributed to them on the credit line, never asserted in our own voice, and we prefer their reports that name sources, dates, and places that can be checked. When a mainstream outlet later covers the same story, we link the strongest report.
Public officials and public figures are named as the reporting names them. A private individual is named only when a primary source names them first, and we keep that source’s own hedging intact in our words: an arrested person is arrested, not guilty; a suspect is suspected, not convicted; an allegation is alleged. We never harden a source’s uncertainty into our certainty. Victims are named when naming them honors the record; never to sensationalize.

We rewrite headlines and add framing, but we send you to the original journalism so you can read it yourself and judge. Statements we attribute to an outlet are reports of what that outlet published — not our own assertions of fact.
