| REV. 7:9 | “After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands;” |
| REV. 7:14 | “...These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.” |
That is a saved crowd, standing on the far side of the rapture, too large to count. Whatever else is true of the darkest years in history, the gospel still works in them. God does not run out of mercy when the church leaves the field. Anyone who tells a grieving reader that every door slams shut at the trumpet has said more than Revelation says.
Now the other side of the ledger, because we do not sell half a Bible:

| 2 THESS. 2:10-12 | “...because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.” |
Some teachers read this narrowly: those who heard the gospel plainly and refused it before the catching up will be given over to the delusion after it. Others read it more broadly, of the tribulation generation at large. We will not pretend the debate is settled; it is not, and both readings come from people who take the text seriously. What is beyond debate is the mechanism it describes: a time is coming when the lie will be state-sponsored, supernatural, and persuasive, and hearts hardened now will find it easier to believe it then. That alone should end every “I’ll decide after” calculation.
The multitude in white robes got there through the worst years this world will ever see, under a regime that makes faith a capital offense. Salvation after the rapture is real; comfortable salvation after the rapture is not in the book. The people who come to Christ in the tribulation come by way of everything the reader of this page could skip.
